Motor City Machine Fuzz

Packaging Design Music Design

The Motor City Machine Guns and Hard Way Electronics hired me to design the enlosure for their first effects pedal collaboration – the mighty Motor City Machine Fuzz. Continuing the hand-drawn punk aesthetic that I used for their previous collaboration with New Order Coffee, I selected a variety of illustrations I had created for their original "flash sheet" and laid them out in a way that would support the pedal's controls, including handwritten labels and a little skull whose eye is perfectly arranged so the active LED switch shines through. Yes, it says "GAINS" instead of "GAIN." That's on purpose, of course.

The best part, for me at least, is that we got to actually use this pedal across numerous tracks on GRPPLNG's EP and latest single, "SLEEP," – and it now has a permanent spot on my personal pedalboard.

Limited to 45 autographed pedals. Pick one up and unleash the powerful chaos of the Motor City!

Top view. It looks even better in person, if you can believe it!

Angled view to show off the cool, custom foot. Also, the switch is engraved. How sick is that?
